Climbing’s April Fools (2022)
April Fools is always an anticipated day in the climbing community. The Boot Flake falls off and odd, sadly fictitious products are announced. Overall I would rate this April Fools as a step down from previous years… Alex Honold didn’t team up with Black Diamond to make a #21 cam, heated chalk bag, or free soloing crashpad backpack!
But there were a few notable quips from 2022. The most unbelievable was a serious post from Trevor Puppy Lovr on MP. Wait, it’s Princess Puppy Lovr now? Sorry your majesty… maybe I need to dive into the dark hole that is the Mountain Project forum more often…
